How is the AirTouch N30i different from the AirFit N30i?
The main difference is the material. The AirFit N30i uses a standard, smooth silicone cushion. The AirTouch N30i uses a hybrid design where the silicone is wrapped in ComfiSoft™ fabric. The AirTouch is designed for users who find silicone slippery or irritating to the skin.
Can I use this cushion with my AirFit P30i mask?
Yes! The ResMed N30i and P30i series use a modular frame system. If you currently have an AirFit P30i (nasal pillows) or an AirFit N30i (silicone cradle), you can simply detach your current cushion and snap the AirTouch N30i cushion onto your existing frame.
How do I clean the AirTouch N30i cushion?
Because of the fabric material, the cleaning process is slightly different from standard silicone. Do not submerge the cushion in water or use harsh chemicals. We recommend wiping the cushion daily with CPAP wipes to keep it fresh and hygienic. If it becomes wet, allow it to air dry completely before use.
Does this cushion cover the nose bridge?
No. The AirTouch N30i is a nasal cradle cushion. It sits comfortably under the nose, cradling the nostrils, rather than covering the bridge of the nose. This design is excellent for users who wear glasses or feel claustrophobic with full-face masks.
How often should I replace the cushion?
To maintain optimal hygiene and a secure seal, ResMed recommends replacing the AirTouch N30i cushion regularly. Due to the fabric nature of the cushion, it may show signs of wear differently than silicone. Inspect it regularly and replace it if the fabric becomes damaged or the seal deteriorates.
